The Dispatch Board & Work Orders

Operational delivery that stays connected to your project data

When a project is won in ConstructionCRM, work orders flow directly to the Dispatch Board. No re-keying, no second system. Every scheduling decision reflects the live commercial reality of your pipeline.

Real-time Gantt Dispatch Board

A live auto-refreshing board (every 30 seconds by default) with rows for every team member and vehicle, columns for working days. Zoom in and out with the interval slider, filter to the working week, and set start and end times to match your operation - 8 AM to 6 PM out of the box.

Operational control

People and vehicles in a single board

Specialist vehicles - including HIAB-equipped trucks - are scheduled alongside engineers and field staff in the same Dispatch Board view. No separate fleet system. No separate spreadsheet. Availability for both is visible in one place, including from the Calendar module.

Fleet & people

Work Orders linked to projects

Create work orders directly from a won project record - with a description, estimated duration in hours, and a booked date. They appear on the Dispatch Board immediately, ready for assignment. The Completed date closes them out when delivery is done.

Project-linked delivery

Conflict detection and workload alerts

The Dispatch Board surfaces double-bookings and scheduling conflicts before they reach the site. The Completed Work Orders panel on the right keeps a running reference of finished jobs, keeping the live view clean and focused on what still needs dispatching.

Risk reduction

Team and individual views

Switch between an all-users view and a filtered view for any individual team member. Managers get the full site picture; field engineers see only their own schedule. Works in tandem with the Calendar module - appointments and work orders visible in the same diary.

Role-based views

Mobile access for field teams

Field staff access work orders, actions, and project data via the native iOS and Android app - logging calls, updating status, and capturing site visit notes immediately after leaving a meeting, with no RDP connection required. Mobile-optimised list views are built in from day one.

Field-ready
Platform Integration

Dispatch that connects to every part of your business

The Dispatch Board shares a single data layer with ConstructionCRM's pipeline, project records, quotations, and actions - so resource decisions reflect live commercial reality, not yesterday's spreadsheet.

Barbour ABI & Glenigan - new project leads ingested daily drive work order demand before a site has broken ground.
Pipeline stages a–j - when a project moves to h) In Production, the Dispatch Board is where delivery begins.
Workflow Manager - automate field notifications, completion alerts, and next-action reminders when work order status changes.
Outlook Calendar sync - dispatched appointments sync bidirectionally with Microsoft Outlook, keeping the field team's diary accurate across both systems.

Why It Matters

Scheduling disconnected from your CRM costs you margin

Most construction businesses dispatching people and plant are working from separate tools that have never seen their project or commercial data. The gap between winning work and delivering it shouldn't require a system change.

01

Vehicle and engineer bookings managed in two different places

Scheduling a HIAB alongside the engineer who operates it from separate systems means conflicts only surface when both are on-site at the same time. ConstructionCRM puts both in the same Gantt row - the conflict shows up in the office, not at the gate.

02

Work orders raised manually after the CRM says "won"

When your CRM and your operational system are separate, converting a won quote into delivery requires re-keying data - project name, site address, duration - into a second platform. Work Orders in ConstructionCRM are created in one click from the project record.

03

No real-time view of what's booked, completed, or still open

The Dispatch Board's auto-refresh and Completed Work Orders panel give operations managers a live view of the full field workload - what's been done, what's pending, and who's still free - without a phone round or a manual status sheet.

The Dispatch Board replaces all of this - built into the same platform as your pipeline, project control, quoting, and marketing. One system. One source of truth.

Ask your dispatch data questions in plain language

Aletus AI - currently transitioning to a Claude (Anthropic) integration - lets you query work order, dispatch, and project data conversationally. No report builder. No data export. Ask which jobs are overdue, which vehicle is double-booked next week, or which projects have open work orders with no assigned resource.

Which work orders are still open and unassigned this week?
Aletus AI
3 open work orders with no resource assigned: Fenchurch St (16 hrs, due 2nd Feb), Leeds Site C (8 hrs, overdue by 3 days), Bristol Site D (12 hrs, booked but no engineer confirmed). Shall I flag these on the Dispatch Board?
Yes - and show me any vehicle conflicts for the HIAB next week

HIAB conflict detected: double-booked Tue–Wed - Bristol Site D and Leeds Site C overlap. Bristol takes priority by project value. Suggested resolution: reschedule Leeds to Thursday. Want me to draft the action?

Our clients see their CRM as a commercial advantage - which is why most prefer to stay anonymous.

★★★★★
"Before ConstructionCRM, our HIAB bookings and engineer schedules lived in completely separate systems - we only found conflicts when both turned up at the same site. Having vehicles and people on the same Dispatch Board, linked to the actual project record, removed that problem entirely."

★★★★★
"The Work Orders tab on project records is genuinely useful - when a project moves to In Production, we raise the work order right there, it shows on the Dispatch Board immediately, and the sales team can see it's in hand without chasing ops. One platform doing what used to take three."

★★★★★
"The 30-second auto-refresh on the Dispatch Board means our ops manager genuinely uses it as a live view during the day, not just a planning tool. Combined with the Mailbox Listener for auto-logging site emails and the Outlook sync, the system actually stays current without manual effort."
